When she leaves he starts feeling all kinds of emotions such as being scared and alone. He yells for his mama and becomes impatient and begins to pout and shout. Finally his mama comes and tells him she loves him and he must be patient. The whole story rhymes and this can be used in the classroom to help students understand patience and love. Young children can identify with Llama Llama Red Pajama because he does and acts the way they probably do sometimes.
